Park and Draft Spinning

As I watched this wonderful video today I decided, "That's it! My spinning wheel has NOT arrived. It HAS been shipped but it has NOT arrived yet and I've got to spin something!!"



Sooo I headed out the Ace Hardware where I was able to get all the supplies I needed for TWO CD spindles for less than $3.50. I made one spindle with the whorl at the top and one with the whorl on the bottom as seen here.

I enjoyed trying to get the hang of this hand spinning. With practice I'll get there. I figure this is good drafting practice.

Tomorrow I'm going out of town kayaking/birding/wildlife photography course. I just BET my wheel will come when I'm gone (fingers crossed!).
