I use my potholder loom as a tiny tri-loom. Well, not a tri loom, but I string it like a tri loom to make a square. It makes nice large pads which I prefer to the traditional small coaster.
noreen crone-findlay is awesome... lots of ideas for small looms!she also has a tutorial for making a triangle... its on youtube.i havent tried the triangle... but have used the method that you posted... really is neat!
